Social Studies: Grade 5

Service Description

Second-grade students will focus on learning about people who make a difference in their lives, and historical figures who have made a difference in American culture and government. Third-graders will focus on thinking about change in their local community and studying people who have made an impact on their environment. Fourth-graders will study the history of California before progressing to the development of the nation in fifth grade. All grade levels will build on knowledge of geography, chronology, and civics through a variety of texts and writing activities. All social studies classes are aligned with California History-Social Science Framework Standards. (Students can enroll week-by-week.)
